War
War is as old as time itself. It has inflamed passions in people’s minds since artists first were able to sculpt, paint, or put hand prints on cave walls.
Our first heroes were young men called upon to defend themselves and their people.
Anti-War Protests
But, anti-war protests seem to be a recent invention and have, more or less, been peaceful displays that are antithetical to the wars they intend to counter.

Society and its discontents
Protests against other ailments plaguing civilization have similarly been mostly peaceful. However, these protests have over the years taken a violent turn.

We could do a lot worse than returning to more peaceful demonstrations and emulating those from our not-too-distant past.
Enter those organized by Sherry Glaser, who is (from Wikipedia) “… a political activist, who was arrested for her topless protest against the “immoral injustices of war” (Breasts Not Bombs), and for opening a Medical Marijuana Dispensary.”
I would argue that her Breasts Not Bombs movement (which started as a crossover between anti-war protesting and the fight for the right of women to be top-free in public in the same way men to) is a whole lot more effective and a damned sight more entertaining than the pitched battles we see today.
Of course, this did result in some backlash from the police, and she and others were arrested for suspicion of indecent exposure — a charge if they were convicted of would have required them to be (outrageously!) registered as sex offenders.
This was, of course, preposterous and gave Sherry the impetus to increase her already colossal efforts.

Ms Glaser doubled down. I quote: "Their bare breasts were called 'indecent', so I thought, let's use this incident and our equal protection under the 14th Amendment to show what real freedom and decency look like. She realizes, words alone can be easily disregarded, but bodies are harder to ignore."
One image epitomizes the dichotomy of war and the method by which it was being protested.
War Is Indecent
In the choice between Molotov Cocktail lobbing “protesters” and the so-called “indecent” protesters, it is clear where support should be forthcoming and to what displays of protest society should find more effective and appealing.
Addendum
Victoria Bateman
Another person doing similar protests is Victoria Bateman who has used her body as a canvas for anti-Brexit slogans while delivering lectures from an economist’s point of view on the evils of Brexit.
